How To: Pin Straight Hair

Super straight hair is IN IN IN! And that is great if you have normal hair, but what about the curly heads? Ever try to straighten and it ends up looking like you have frizzy damaged ends? That more times than not is not the case if you have wavy to curly hair. Its normally due to using an improper ironing technique and can be easily fixed.

Check out our favorite Vlog for the right straightening technique that will give you pin straight locks every time! Switch it up and see how it works for you!

OBSESSED! Hair Chalk

Who says color blocking is only for your clothes & shoes? Take this trend to a whole new level with one our our newest obsessions, Hair Chalk! This stuff even works on my raven black locks, and if it shows up on me, it will show up on anyone!

Obsessed!

A perfect tool for adding a splash of color when you are feeling funky or just want to try something new!

Why I Love It:
This is a great way to get fun, semi-perm color to give your 'do some 'tude without the time & harsh effects of dye! When you are done, just simply wash your hair and the color is gone. I love this 32 color palette I picked up from Urban Outfitters. These colors are blendable &  vibrant so they show up even in the darkest of hair. Suitable for all age (and you can use this on your guys too!) and perfect for Halloween hair!

How I Use It:

  1. Wet the strand of hair you want to color with a spray bottle (if you have light blonde hair don't wet unless you are ok with the color to staying a few days; skip down to Step )
  2. Rub the chalk against the hair with downward strokes. I rub & twist the hair as I go to make sure the color is really in there.  You can wear gloves if you don't want to get the chalk all over you. If you want to blend colors or color a strand in sections, now is the time to do it!
  3. Let the hair dry. I prefer air drying the strands that I chalked but you can blow dry. Be sure to use a low setting & hold the dryer back from your head otherwise you will cause the pigments to fly off.
  4. Heat set. Use a flat iron and apply heat to the entire chalked section once its dry. You can also use a curling iron to get waves or curls.
  5. Seal it- apply a light coat of hair spray to seal the color in.
Get my set at Urban Outfitters for $14 or find one that you love! Send me your suggestions if you find a great set!
